To protect staff and students
Schools have an equal responsibility to safeguard staff as well as students.
As schools across the UK increasingly report of student-on-staff aggression, CCTV systems provide vital evidence when reporting incidents. This evidence can be used when liaising with other teachers, parents, and the police.
Assaults on school employees have soared over the last few years. This highlights the importance of having CCTV cameras in place to collate and provide valuable evidence, and to help deter assaults happening in the first instance.
To deter bullying
Placing CCTV cameras in hallways, corridors, or spaces of the school where teacher presence may be minimal will help deter anti-social behaviour and bullying, as well as providing students with the sense of being safe. It also helps staff identify individuals in cases where the victim might not have otherwise come forward.
To prevent theft
Protect assets and confidential documents from being stolen or accessed, with highly-visible CCTV. Placing cameras in places less visible to the public eye, such as the rear of buildings, helps prevent theft, vandalism, and anti-social behaviour taking place out of school hours.
To manage who enters and exits buildings
Access control enables full monitoring over who enters and exits the building. Unauthorised visitors accessing school buildings is a common concern for many parents, particularly with children of primary school ages, so investing in an access control system can put parents’ minds at ease and heighten trust in sending their child to that particular school.
To ensure the wellbeing of students
As staff bear the responsibility of the whereabouts of students during school hours, truancy is a common challenge that many schools face; especially those with a high student:staff ratio. Investing in barriers and perimeter controls creates a secure environment, in which staff can more easily supervise students’ whereabouts.

They also required a user-friendly entry system at the pedestrian gate, with provisions for future expansion to include vehicle barriers.

Securing a Multi-Campus International Private School
Established to cater to the diverse needs of both local and global families, this leading educational institution provides high-quality education, day and boarding, to a diverse student body ranging from the ages of 2 to 18 from over 100 countries. The institution's commitment to safety and security across their four campus sites has been implemented by A Plus Security.
Public Administration
A public administration spanning various locations across Scotland, from the southern borders to the very north of the country, including the Scottish Islands, needed to address their security infrastructure.
Sites are composed of data centres, secure communications, secure buildings, administrative bodies and policy hubs, many under high security protocol, so A-Plus Security staff had to undergo extensive security screening to be able to undertake these works.
The project involved an integrated installation across all sites, and following an extensive tender process, A-Plus Security worked closely and collaboratively with the organisation's project team to put the right systems into place.
Access, Security & Fire System Overhaul for Mixed-Use Commercial Building
P & M Electrical Services are a well-established Surrey based firm working nationwide, that has traded since 1992, providing a first-class reliable service in all areas of Electrical installation and contracting.
P&M has contracted A-Plus Security on several MEPH jobs.
Exchange House
We were asked to tender for a cat B fit out within an existing office block in the heart of Bishopsgate which included remodelling of an office space and removal of walls to give an open plan feel to the site. The works included modifications the existing Kentec single loop fire alarm system, building wide PA system, building wide evacuation system and tenant controlled Paxton access control system.
VIP Security Protection for a Large Estate
A Plus Security were tasked with a challenging design and installation for a vast 1000-acre estate where the access to the ground were not protected.
