Exchange House
Sector: Commercial, Office Building Security
Sites: Exchange House, London
System: Access Control and Fire Alarm System
Background
We were asked to tender for a cat B fit out within an existing office block in the heart of Bishopsgate which included remodelling of an office space and removal of walls to give an open plan feel to the site. The works included modifications the existing Kentec single loop fire alarm system, building wide PA system, building wide evacuation system and tenant controlled Paxton access control system.
Solutions
The client provided us with a wish list to price against with various options to complete. On award we set together with cabling of the new exposed ceiling areas to allow the cabling to be sprayed black and labled as live fire cables to suit the building décor. Following this, we installed new black detectors and 4 x Paxton access control doors to newly built secure store rooms.
On completion of the works, a full maintenance was completed on the access control. Fire alarm and gas suppression system within the tenants space with reports issued on completion. All works were completed within the construction plan and handed over to the new tenant on completion.
Comment by Operations Manager of P&M Electrical “A Plus security exceeded all expectations on this project following a late award of the contract due to a different contractor pulling out. All fire and security works were completed when requested and signed off by the consultant on finish with no issues noted. We have continued working with A Plus on following projects and would fully recommend them.”
