A-Plus Security Renews Partnership with Southend United Community Foundation

A-Plus Security is proud to confirm that it will continue its partnership with Southend United Community Foundation (SUCF) for the 2026/27 season, building on a successful first year that has helped support thousands of people across Southend and South Essex.

The partnership began in October 2025 as part of A-Plus Security’s commitment to investing in the community in which the business has its roots. What started as a sponsorship has developed into something much broader: an opportunity to support programmes that improve education, health and wellbeing, inclusion and personal development.

A year of measurable community impact

During 2025/26, SUCF delivered more than 20 programmes and recorded 6,348 unique participants. Its year-end Impact Report estimates more than 680,000 engagement opportunities through sustained and repeat participation across its activities.

Among the highlights were 136 young people recruited to the Foundation’s Post-16 Education Programme, where learner retention ranged from 91% to 100%. Premier League Kicks engaged 577 young people – 20% above its annual target – while Strong Minds, Active Lives reached 643 children across 11 primary schools, helping pupils develop confidence, emotional awareness and a better understanding of mental wellbeing. The Foundation also continued to provide opportunities for children and young people with disabilities, as well as programmes supporting older residents and people experiencing social isolation.

For A-Plus Security, these results demonstrate why continuing the partnership matters.

Dale Spiby, Chief Executive of Southend United Community Foundation, emphasises that the figures represent much more than participation statistics: behind each number is an individual gaining confidence, reconnecting with education, finding friendship or being given the opportunity to fulfil their potential. He also highlights the importance of long-term partnerships with local businesses to the sustainability and growth of the Foundation’s work.

Whether it is creating safe and positive environments for young people, supporting mental wellbeing, encouraging inclusion or helping people develop the confidence and skills to progress into education and employment, the underlying objective is similar: helping people feel safer, supported and able to achieve more.
